Update v1.2


We’ve just released v1.2 of Mobile Crime Lab. The key changes are:

  • Dynamic case generation!
  • Implementation of ‘fiber’ and ‘chemistry’ games.
  • A bunch more evidence types.
  • A ton of extra sound effects.
  • Numerous other bug fixes.
  • Fixed a ton of memory and CPU usage laziness.
  • The whole thing just plays a ton better in almost every regard.

Some of this was mentioned in the previous devlog, especially the case generation. It’s eternally a work in progress, but as of now there a bunch more cases, and (more importantly) their details will change based on the complexity settings. Perhaps a key figure will be represented by a photograph one time, but when playing the same case with a higher complexity, you have to track them down from the cctv recording of a donut shop which you found via a receipt with their fingerprints. The story beats are the same, but the path to get there can vary quite significantly.

There’s still content we want to add for Mobile Crime Lab, so expect at least one more content update in the future. For now, it’s in a great shape and well worth a play if you haven’t given it a shot.
