The permanently shooting yourself in the face bug seems to happen if you lose your last hitpoint BY shooting your self. Losing the level to a killbot or completing the level seems to prevent the bug. For all potential jammers trying the game, and thanks!

As of 2020-01-30, this and all other major bugs have been fixed. The final version of the game is now available.
